Beyond Pain Relief

Improving the function of the spine and nervous system improves the connection between the brain and all parts of the body. The nervous system is PRIMARY! Paramount. Supreme. Numero uno. Top dog. The big cheese. It runs the show. It controls and coordinates EVERY structure and function in the human body.

To be happier and healthier throughout our lives, we need our nervous systems working their very best. Of course I want your pain to go away, but that’s not my job. My job is MUCH bigger than that. If you’re in a serious accident, and blood is shooting out of an artery in your neck, do you want the EMT or surgeon to focus on your back pain? Of course not. In order to save your life, the bleeding must be stopped.

Vertebral subluxation (common spinal injuries that have healed wrong) will weaken and diminish your health and life and slowly kill you. I’m sorry to be so blunt, and I prefer not to use fear as a motivating factor, but subluxations and their devastating effects are very real. Improve function, and pain usually recedes, very naturally. Chiropractic is about function.

Do you teach a child the importance of brushing his teeth at a young age, or do you wait till he’s 18 to start brushing his teeth? If you want the teeth to be healthy and last a lifetime, you start at a young age. Well, the 24 bones of the spine are a LOT more important than the 32 teeth. It’s really simple. It’s not dramatic. But taking care of the spine and nervous system often means the difference between a life of health and strength or a life of weakness and sickness.

Health isn’t dramatic. Healthy people go about their lives with relative ease. They sleep well, digest and eliminate well, breathe well, move with ease, think clearly, smile more, and have more balanced hormones and emotions. Their bodies function the way they were designed to function. They don’t take medicines for pain, inflammation, stiffness, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, blood sugar problems, headaches, reflux or sinusitis.

They don’t spend their days talking about their ailments, what medicines they’re on, what surgeries they’ve had, and what doctors they need to visit this week. Sadly, very few know and get to experience high levels of health. More commonly, people take pills to ease symptoms, givi
